What is DNSBL ?

Domain Name System Blacklists, also known as DNSBL's or DNS Blacklists (Realtime Blackhole Lists aka RBL in the past), are spam blocking lists that allow a website administrator to block messages from specific systems that have a history of sending spam.

Enable DNSBL in Mailspect

  • Login into Mailspect Control Panel (http://HOSTNAME:20001) as admin
  • Go to Services->Connections->Reputation Lists
  • For Real-time Blackhole Lists switch radio button from Default (none) and enter the DNSBL sites of choice comma separated (i.e. zen.spamhaus.org)

  • Hit SAVE AND RESTART MAILSPECT button
